Art as an Artist and Artistry in Life!

As an entertainer, I am often misconstrued for the "performance" onstage ( which varies based on the crowd, venue, my mood, and the performance) whether singing, acting, doing a stunt or comic venture. I play with erotic, obscure, humor, sho...ck effect, craziness, & spontaneity. The "opinions" ("they're like assholes, everybody's got one") are amazing and all different. Yet, I am approached and meet people based on the persona projected on stage in a performance, sometimes, similar to my inner core, and other times far from what I really am deep inside. I don't care as I need to project what comes from me inside in a creative manner for the rest of my life, despite naysayers or support, it is an urge and gift that will continue to develop and challenge me as an artist, as i challenge myself to continually "layer" my experiences into one artist, yet many forms of art. JIMMIE VAN ZANT TEAMS WITH MID SOUTH MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT

Born in “the home of southern rock royalty”, Jacksonville, FL and part of a famous music family Southern Rocker Jimmie Van Zant is a household name if it comes to music. The latest of his four albums was distributed by Sony Red and he’s currently working on a new album which is to be released in 2015. The background of Jimmie Van Zant’s music career is pure music history. It was the sudden death of his cousin Ronnie in 1977, that inspired him to work on his own music career. He later honored his cousin with “Ronnie’s song” on his very first album “Southern Comfort”, which was released in 2000. Jimmie remembers well, when Ronnie and the boys used to come over to his parents’ living room to rehearse with the band “One Percent” that eventually became “Lynyrd Skynyrd”.
